Phase 2B Parent Volunteer Scheme

• The Parent Volunteer (PV) Scheme is open to parents of children who are Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents due for the P1 Registration Exercise. The school selects PV applicants who are generally able to contribute in areas which are aligned to the school’s direction, programmes and desired outcomes for both staff and students.
  
  Parents are to note that this scheme provides eligibility for priority registration in the school under Phase 2B of the P1 Registration Exercise, however it does not guarantee your child a place in the school for the P1 admission.

  Application Details

  Registration for our PV Scheme for 2027 P1 Intake in Phase 2B will commence from 1 Feb 2025 and will close on 31 Mar 2025.
  
  Kindly note that application selection is not on first come first served basis and selection interviews may be conducted.

  To apply for the school’s PV Scheme, please register via the Phase 2B Parent Volunteer Application (available from 1 Feb to 31 Mar). You will need to attach scanned copies of your child’s Birth Certificate and both parents’ NRIC. The school will inform the results to PV applicants via email latest by end May 2025.
  
  Successful PVs must fulfill at least 40 hours of acceptable PV service by 29 May 2026, to qualify the eligibility for priority registration in Phase 2B before the commencement of 2026 P1 Registration Exercise.

FAQ

• 1. Who can participate in the 2025 Primary One Registration Exercise?
  Children born between 2 January 2019 and 1 January 2020 (both dates inclusive) can participate in the 2025 Primary One Registration Exercise for admission to Primary One Classes in 2026.

  2. When is the Primary One Registration Exercise conducted?
  The Primary One Registration Exercise is conducted from July to August.

  3. How do I register my child for P1 in Anderson Primary School?
  Parents should refer to the registration phases and procedures to find out which phase their children are eligible for, how to register and the documents required for registration.

  4. How many P1 vacancies will be offered by Anderson Primary School?
  The  P1 vacancies for each phase for every primary school will only be made available in June each year before the commencement of the Primary One Registration Exercise.

  5. How do I qualify for priority registration?
  Children whose parent or sibling have studied at Anderson Primary School, Ang Mo Kio North Primary School, Li Hua Primary School and Hong Dao Primary School, are eligible for P1 Registration in Phase 2A.

  6. Can I join Anderson Primary School as a Parent Volunteer for priority registration in Phase 2B?
  In order to be eligible for the Registration in the Phase 2B in the Primary One Registration Exercise, parents must join the school as a Parent Volunteer (PV) at least 1 year before the Registration Exercise and fulfil at least 40 hours of PV service by 30 May before the P1 Registration starts.
